Welcome to Mochiya Hanbei, right in the heart of Asakusa, Tokyo.
Here, we serve fresh, “alive” mochi every day — soft, chewy, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious.
Our mochi is made the old-school way with a wooden mallet and stone mortar. One bite and you’ll know: this isn’t just a sweet — it’s a whole experience.
From classic flavors like kinako, anko, and kuromitsu, to fun modern twists like matcha with gold leaf or caviar with balsamic, we mix tradition and creativity in every piece.
Try our limited daily fresh mochi (only 50 a day!), or grab a mini mochi for takeout — perfect for a snack while exploring Asakusa.
